Rhodolite
Rhodolite is a vibrant variety of garnet prized for its rich raspberry-red to purplish-pink hues. Its name comes from the Greek word rhodon, meaning “rose,” a nod to its striking color. Unlike rhodonite, which is a manganese silicate with a pink body and black veining, rhodolite is a gem-quality garnet composed primarily of pyrope and almandine. It forms deep within the Earth under high temperature and pressure, giving it exceptional clarity and brilliance. Its color is entirely natural, with no need for treatments, making it a favorite among jewelers and collectors.
Metaphysically, Rhodolite is associated with love, vitality, and emotional balance. Connected to both the heart and root chakras, it is believed to inspire compassion, strengthen relationships, and encourage self-confidence. Its energizing yet grounding vibration is said to promote passion for life while helping to release self-doubt. Rhodolite’s warm, uplifting energy makes it a powerful stone for those seeking both emotional harmony and a renewed sense of purpose.
