Moroccan Amethyst
Moroccan amethyst is unique due to its association with the Atlas Mountains, a mountain range that extends across Morocco. These mountains are rich in mineral deposits, including amethyst. Unlike typical amethyst geodes found in Brazil and other locals, this variety of Moroccan amethyst is found in large clusters which have broken down into points and cone shapes over thousands of years of ground and soil erosion. A large Moroccan amethyst of this variety is highly valuable and rarely unearthed as a still-connected structure.
Metaphysically, amethyst is renowned for its calming and protective properties. It is often associated with alleviating stress, enhancing intuition, and facilitating meditation. The Moroccan variety of amethyst, being found in higher mountain ranges, is believed to also have grounding properties, helping further balance emotions.
