Description

Vanadinite is a rare mineral also referred to as Lead Vanadate Chloride. This mineral's structures vary from hair-like to prisms and everything in between. It's often associated with other minerals like Galena, Wulfenite, Limonite and Barite (which it's laid upon here). Barite, on the other hand, is a mineral consisted of Barium Sulfate. The root of its name comes from the Greek word for heavy and while it does hold some weight, it's also quite soft. It's structures tend to be tabular. This is very evident in its other form, Desert Rose. There's a lot going on with this combination of minerals and I don't think you'll ever find another piece quite like it.
